Game One of the Kernels playoff series at Clinton.  IT'S A BASEBALL ROAD TRIP!  My companions on this journey: Rob Brooks, Gary Keoppel, Brad Stovie and Jaymz Larson.

Let's begin...

Jaymz looks for beer in Rob's fridge (with zero success).

Rob's Myron Noodleman bobblehead.

Alliant Energy Field.

Jaymz poses with Rob, who's...busy in the men's room. (NOTE: I'm not the type to usually shoot photos in a men's room.)

Jaymz, Stovie and Rob.

Me pointing at the beer prices.

Nice seats.

The scoreboard...not QUITE up to par with the one at New Veteran's Stadium. (The Mississippi River is a little ways behind it.)

Jaymz.

My beer is bigger than his.

Mulletboy, the usher, checks tickets.

Obviously he takes his work very seriously (and is telling this lady about my beer)...

He apparently just missed the bag of peanuts that lady snuck in.

The Kernels return to the dugout.

The chair next to me was broken, making it a de facto TV tray.

Jaymz wanted a shot of the toothpick.

Gary and Rob.

This guy was a jerk.  The woman he was with was the one who snuck in the peanuts, plus he did the whole "I gave you a ten" scam with the beer lady.

The "Voice Of The Kernels", John Rodgers, calls the game on The Zone.

Behind the dish.

The rally cap.

Stovie tries to do his cricket chirp, but is distracted by Jaymz.

Jaymz is amazed by Stovie's chip.

Rob and Jaymz.

Jaymz poses with Mulletboy.

The Kernels lose, 3-0.
They'd lose at home the next night, eliminating them from the playoffs and ending the 2004 season.

SEE YOU IN THE SPRING!
