My friend Becky's 21st birthday.  (This is fun because it technically starts at midnight Saturday morning with Pictures #1-8 at the Irish Democrat and Perkins in Cedar Rapids, then from #9 on it's Saturday night in Iowa City at etc.

It's midnight, and Becky's ID (at the ID, strangely enough) says she can drink!

McKay buys two "Blowjobs".

They had trouble with it.

<Insert your own joke here.>

We were pulling into the parking lot around 2am when Karol Kelly from Z 102.9 (who had a remote at Element until 1am) called my cellphone.  She was at Perkins on Collins Rd. with the Rock 108 guys (who had a concert at 3rd Street Live) and wanted us to stop in.

So we wound up having a KZIA/Rock 108/WMT/KCJJ summit.

20 hours later, and Becky is back at it at etc.

Back row (l to r): Nick and McKay
Front row: Kim, Becky and Justin.

Jared = Pimp.

Me.

A new chapter is born, as the Cedar Rapids Media Elite splinters into...

...the Iowa City Media Elite!
Back row (l to r): McKay, Nick, Justin and me
Front row: Becky, Christine, Jared, and...um...some other guy. (I don't know how he got in the shot, either.)

Becky's parents and sister.

Kim, Jared and Nick.

More dancing.

These girls saw me with the camera and wanted me to take their picture.  (Vanity is available in spades in downtown Iowa City.)

I call Rob Brooks.  (What I called him is between him and me.)

Sandwich!

The Garmanganger.  (A fake Andy Garman...or "Garman Doppleganger".)
He later left with my friend
Mystique, who I didn't even see until they were leaving.  Weird.

Jared with stogey.

At midnight it was Easter, so this is what we got on the Ped Mall.

Becky's birthday journal.  I made an entry pointing out that the DJ played Eddie Money's "Take Me Home Tonight" at 1am on a Saturday night in a college club in 2005.

Bar shots...

At this point the DJ sees the white people (actually, after Eddie Money I assume he already knew we were  there)...

...so what does he hit?

Whitesnake "Here I go Again".

Followed by Journey "Don't Stop Believing".

Last call.

The grilled cheese stand on the Ped Mall.

The Ped Mall at 2:30am, after most of the drunks have stumbled home.

Even the gyro stand was empty.
