Friday night 4/15 and Saturday night 4/16/2005
My friend/former co-worker Heather Miller got married to Scott Derby in Cedar Rapids. Here's their official wedding site. The pictures below are totally unauthorized.

| We start at the Exel Inn, where the room across the hall had the stench of weed coming out from under the door, there was some dude who looked like Michael Wilbon in a white tank-top doing the robot in the hall, and this at the bottom of the stairs... |
See, I'll drink a bottle of Hennessy you got on the shelf, so just let me introduce myself(1): I'm Tommy, and I won't drink warm liquor from a three-quarters-empty bottle on the floor of a motel staircase. (1) Humpty 1990 |

![]() ...or is he transfixed by the Jager sticker on the drum? |
![]() And then the rains came. |
![]() Big, heavy rains. |

![]() Remnants of a once-great civilization, including a bottle of Big D's beer ("Don Black Blonde") and my Grimace (which someone defiled with a Cubs helmet). |
![]() A quick trip downstairs to the Chrome Horse. |
![]() Then to the Tycoon, where Tim always treated us well when we were regulars. And on our return...no different. |
![]() The projection TV where Big D, Fish and I used to watch NBA playoff games. |
![]() We run into former Z 102.9 jock Bill Mirabella, who also believes "Karma's a bitch". |
![]() We run into "Hollywood" Rob Hocken and my buddy Drew at Dublin City Pub. |

Okay, these next few are a prank that my dad (KCJJ's "Gene Gene The Joke Machine") came up with.
His neighbor is a guy I went to high school with, Ted Sueppel. Ted's a HUGE Cubs fan. My dad's a Cardinals fan.
Anyway, Ted and his family are on vacation in Florida. They left my dad to watch the house. Big mistake.
Nice flag. |

Down in Ted's TV room. |

My job was to e-mail these
pictures to Ted in Florida, so he knows that his house looks like this all
week.
That's gotta suck. |
